Incontinence

Hi--
My brother has a wonderful 8 month weimereiner named Otto who I look after. Otto has been potty trained from age 2 months with the bell on the door method. He rings a wind chime on the door when he needs to go out.
He still goes outside as usual, but he lately literally seems to be leaking. He is streaming small amounts of urine when he walks or runs around the house. He does not make any "puddles". Just long streams that leave a trail of where he has been.
We're not sure how to remedy this. He was crate trained right away. Before I got to my brothers hometown, he would often be in his crate for 8 hours a day while my brother and sister in law were at work. Could that be the issue? Is that too long?
There haven't been any changes or stresses to his environment. He is well trained overall.
Thanks for your help!
