We have a sick pug. Symptoms are: bowel irritation (loose stool), distended stomach, shaking, hot nose. They started approximately at 11pm yesterday.

starve for 24 hours, feed a bland diet of chicken and rice or white fish little and often after the starvation period to try and firm up any faeces. offer plenty of water. if your pet appears to be in pain or gets any worse contact your veterinary practice especially if gets worse or stomach does not improve.
