blood in diarrhea

my dog has what looks like blood in her mucus like diarrhea,i have her booked in to see a vet this afternoon but very worried seems very quiet in herself

Symptoms: Lethargy, Coughing, Diarrhea

    The symptoms you describe fall under the category of colitis. This may be caused by several things, including stress, parasites, dietary indiscretion, viral diseases, etc. In a puppy, I would definitely have her see a vet to assess her hydration status, temperature, demeanor, etc. The worry is we want to make sure she doesnt have a viral disease called Parvovirus which can be extremely debilitating, even fatal. Also, dehydration can really hit puppies quite hard. So, make sure you get her to a vet as soon as possible.
