Lactating

My 14 month old ha dher firts time being in heat about 4 months ago. We made sure she could not mate during this time as she was to young we thought. But now she seems to be lactating (?spl) Is this normal?

    it sounds like she is having a false pregnancy, is she collecting toys, making a nest being protective of certain toys, areas? this can either be treated with an injection from the vets, or you can try restricting diet and they seem to want to eat more, stop her nesting, collecting toys and this should reduce milk production. however sometimes this is not enough and they require the injection. it is likely that if this is a false pregnancy she may suffer with them everytime after a season so neutering may be an option if you do not want to breed from her.
