pot belly, obesity, hair loss and poor condition of fur, lethargic, excessive thirst, excess urination, increased or decreased appetite, thin skin, behavioural changes. not all symptoms may be present.
diagnosis: biochemistry blood test as liver enzymes will be raised and this will rule out any other diseases. further blood test called ACTH stimulation test which looks at the amount of cortisol in the circulation as cushings disease is an overactive adrenal gland so it produces excess cortisol.
alternatives:
skin problems:hypothyroidism, skin allergies, mange, ringworm. kidney or liver malfunctions, water retention.
hope this helps
