I adopted a female 6 month old Siamese Mix and I belive she was weined too early. At night she sits on my lap and wants to suckle on my tee shit. What should I do?

    Hi Felice

Just very gently discourage her if you want. It shouldn't be too much of a problem unless she becomes overly dependent on you and becomes distressed when you leave her.

She might be doing it to increase her sense of security. Perhaps you could give her some independent toys to play with that she could do on her own as well as love from you. You could also pop an old smelly tee shirt into her bed for her to lie on.

    All the best

Good Dog? Bad Dog? By Rosie Barclay. This book concentrates on changing the traditional views of how we perceive and treat our dogs using what we have learned from scientific research so far. It starts at the beginning by looking at ways of how to chose and bring up a new puppy that may reduce the likelihood of future problems. It then goes on to cover different problems that commonly occur between owners and their maturing or adult dogs by discussing real case studies. TO BUY VISIT www.rosiebarclay.com
